You've probably seen already the album cover above, so you know what that means. It's darkjazz time again!
The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation was the live improvised alter ego of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. Saidly, both bands are now disbanded. But check out The Thing With Five Eyes, the new projct of Jason Kohnen (one of the founding members of TKDE and TMFDC).
Succubus is the their second album. In my opinion their best and most interesting one. It was recorded live while viewing Jess Franco's Succubus (1968). This music is more darker and atmospheric than The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. Filled with grimy electronic beats and a hypnotising trombone sound that just goes up your spine. So, what can I say more that hasn't already been said? This is the real dark/doom jazz experience!
