SUMMON THE WAVES represents a turning point and a couple of steps forward in the evolution of the band.Because it's always hard to label music itself in general, let's say that this album is a mixture of ''heavy blues coloured sound, ambiental trance Rock, alternative, psychedelic elements, space parts and melodious vocals''. In almost an hour of music these songs will inspire, take you for a ride through your innerselves, make you surrender to emotions, look deep into your soul and the world around you. The burden of modern life has never been heavier and STONEBRIDE is here to share it with you! - myspace

Second full-length album.
The beastly, throbbing riffs and tortured screams of 16’s now-legendary Drop Out album sent shockwaves through the international music scene upon its ’96 release. It's obvious why over a decade later; the band made visceral anguish, angst, and disillusionment sound downright anthemic. 16 put an ugly, angry face on disenfranchised youth and Drop Out became a touchstone and soundtrack for the next generation of heavy rock trail blazers and trendsetters. - relapse.com

Khanate (pronounced "khan-eight") formed in the year 2000 with the intention of setting new standards for pain and ugliness in the doom metal genre. Their songs are marked by dissonant, heavily down-tuned guitar/bass figures, extremely slow tempos, swarms of high-pitched feedback, and painfully shrieked vocals, making for a genuinely anguished and challenging listening experience -- put another way, their music is not for everybody. The quartet is headed up by guitarist Stephen O'Malley (Burning Witch, Thorr's Hammer, Sunn O)))) and bassist James Plotkin (OLD, Atomsmasher, etc.), two musicians whose reputations in the underground metal/experimental arenas precede them and can give listeners an idea of what to expect from the band. Rounding out the lineup are vocalist Alan Dubin (also formerly of OLD) and drummer Tim Wyskida. Khanate released their self-titled debut in the fall of 2001 on Southern Lord Records. ~ William York, All Music Guide

Great psychelic rock band from New York.
Straddling the chasm between Hawkwind and Mudhoney, White Hills craft psychedelic swirls of feedback, bottom heavy bass riffs and soaring guitar solos that take listeners on journeys into the furthest reaches of the mind.
This vinyl only release features three new tracks and a remix of "Oceans Of Sound" by Antrønhy ØH, who currently plays drums in Julian Cope’s Black Sheep Band.

Time for this great post Acid Bath band. Founded by ex-AB members Dax Riggs and Mike Sanchez. Sadly, this is the only album recorded by them before disbanding again.

GREYMACHINE is a new supergroup featuring Justin Broadrick (Napalm Death, Godflesh, Techno Animal, Jesu), Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom), Diarmuid Dalton (Jesu) and Dave Cochrane (Head Of David, GOD, Ice).
"Disconnected - eight songs, most of which run in the eight-to-nine-minute range, all feature a breathtakingly heavy combination of huge beats, sludgily dissonant guitar riffs, industrial electronics."

Oh yeah, this cover is f.cking Brilliant!
'Patra’ was originally recorded by the cult doom band Saint Vitus released in 1989.
As a tribute to their reunion show at the Roadburn Festival on the 24th of April 2009, TKDE hereby pay their tribute to one of the biggest influences on their music.

It's dark jazz time!
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble (TKDE) formed in 2000 as a project to compose new music for existing silent movies. Jason Köhnen (aka Bong-Ra) and Gideon Kiers, both graduates of the Utrecht School of Arts, combined their audio and visual skills to reinterpret classic movies by F.W. Murnau (Nosferatu) and F. Langs (Metropolis). - last.fm
