Long nights, green lights & jamming since the crab bites! After two years of gigs in many venues around the country, ..CHI.. decided to record a 4-track Demo. At the moment, we've got this material recorded. Still waiting for the circumstances to join us, so that we can join ourselves & let the influence come, to you... - myspace

Stonerwitch - Ojos Del Salado Album Cover

Ok, I think it's time for some stoner rock, since this is Stoner Mountain :). Great forgotten, underground pschydelic stoner rock from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Don't be fooled by the lame cover. It's a top notch album.

The group first evolved when vocalist / guitarist Fernando Gigliotti placed ads for available musicians to form a band, duly enrolling drummer Sebastián Romani and bassist Rodrigo Teixido. This trio soon after got down to practicalities and recorded the debut album 'Ojos Del Salado', released in February of 2000, a true homegrown product being recorded in Gigliotti and Romani's bedrooms.

A second album 'Yerba Del Diablo' was delivered in 2001. A limited release of rarities, 'Besides' including a version of THE BEATLES 'Tomorrow Never Knows', arrived in May 2002. - rockdetector.com

SHUT EYE - Soft For Sight Album Cover

Check out this guys. Great noise rock/shoegaze drone. I love this EP.

The album that lies before you is the debut release from amplifier-worshiping, world-weary riff rats Shut Eye. Born of the barren, southern california womb that is the Inland Empire (san bernardino, colton, calimesa and other such shitholes), Soft for Sight is a 5 song tribute to boredom, substance abuse, and unattractive-yet-refreshingly-attainable women. So download, listen, and drop out of life with beer in hand.

Blue Explosion: Tribute To Blue Cheer Album Cover

An excellent tribute to a great band, the mighty Blue Cheer.

Blue Cheer was an American rock band that initially performed and recorded in the late 1960s and early 1970s and was sporadically active until 2009. Based in San Francisco, Blue Cheer played in a psychedelic blues-rock style, and is also credited as being pioneers of heavy metal (their cover of "Summertime Blues" is sometimes cited as the first in the genre), punk rock, stoner rock, doom metal, experimental rock, and grunge. According to Tim Hills in his book, The Many Lives of the Crystal Ballroom, "Blue Cheer was the epitome of San Francisco psychedelia." Jim Morrison of The Doors called the group "The single most powerful band I've ever seen. - wikipedia

Otis Reaper - Otis Reaper Album Cover

Cassette EP from sludge/doom metal act Otis Reaper.

Hailing from the doomed wastelands of Tennessee, Otis Reaper plays hard rock and punk tinged cro-magnon metal harkening back to the days of yore. Sludgy, neanderthal doom riffs collide with nwobhm tinged melodies, thrashing drums and guttural, blackened vocals w/lyrics about intergalactic time travel, misanthropy, and alcohol.

Confessor - Condemned Album Cover

This band was something unique in late '80s and the early '90s. In short, they were technically doom metal! The album is a little bit difficult at first (mainly the vocal), but after a couple of listens you really appreciate where Confessor were coming from.

Confessor is a doom metal band from North Carolina, USA. By their technically complex interpretation of traditional doom style, they are also well-known name within progressive metal circles. To date, the band has released two full-length studio albums.

Following the release of their 1991 debut album, Condemned, Confessor disbanded in 1993 while the band was already planning a second album, but reformed in 2002 and is still active today. - wikipedia

Iron Witch - Single Malt Album Cover

Five-piece sludge metal band from Liverpool. Ok, maybe they sound exactly like Eyehategod, but they are very good at what they do. So grab a bottle of single malt whiskey and enjoy this release.

The foundation of this rotten sludge, is the riff worship of bands like Black Sabbath, Sleep and St Vitus, with the influence of Black Flag sitting underneath, to give that nihilistic air, and fog of feedback, that permeates most of Eyehategod’s output. This is the soundtrack to alligator wrestling in a Louisiana swamp, cheered on by a mob of whisky-fuelled reprobates

Recorded with John Stephens at Chuckalumba, this EP comes in a hand crafted 4-panel gatefold sleeve on black recycled card, screened by VinoSangre, with vinyl-style black CD and a poster insert, and is limited to 150 copies. - Witch Hunter Records

Soundgarden - Ultramega OK Album Cover

Soundgarden's debut LP. Maybe not as good as the later albums like Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger, but it's still pretty killer. Most of the songs seem to go for a nice Sabbath and/or Zeppelin meets The Stooges sound. Which is a bloody good combination. Ben Ratliff of Rolling Stone defined Soundgarden as the "standard-bearers of stoner rock" during the 1990s.

Great experimental mix of industrial dub and drone doom from London, UK. I know this sounds silly, but trust me, this mix of genres works perfectly. I Can't get enough of this album.
