Wedge have confirmed a February 9th release date for their second album, Killing Tongue. The album will be released via Heavy Psych Sounds and to promote Killing Tongue, the German retro-rockers have shared a video for Lucid.

The band offers some comment on the track - "Lucid is about a certain state of dreaming in which you become aware that you are dreaming. It's called "lucid dreaming" and it requires training in order to obtain this ability. Once you master it, you can do virtually anything within your dreams ...which can be pretty psychedelic ...or scary, dependent on what you're up to. The video was shot in Leipzig by some dear friends of ours."

Winter Moon - You Got Me Single (2017)

I think that Winter Moon is one of the highlights of the current Australian indie scene. I have been a fan ever since I heard the Lucid Dreaming EP, and every time when I thought their music couldn’t get any better... it does!

You Got Me is a beautiful, haunting song. If you enjoy soulful music with a hint of blues throw in, this is for you. The vocals are fantastic. From the beginning to the very end, Molly's voice gives you goosebumps.

This is the type of song you won't want to stop listening to, it is just that good. Can't wait for a full-length album!

R.I.P. Shares Two Tracks From Forthcoming Album 'Street Reaper'

Last year, R.I.P. took the doom metal scene by surprise with an excellent debut album, In The Wind, and now they're already back with a brand new record, called Street Reaper. Well, maybe not exactly now because the album is set for release on 13 October. As for now, to build up hype for the new album, you can listen to two songs from Street Reaper.

Honeymoon Disease - Electric Eel Single / Video

The Swedish band Honeymoon Disease have unleashed their new music video for the vinyl seven-inch single Electric Eel. It was directed by Max Ljungberg and it's Honeymoon Disease's first new material since the release of their 2015 debut The Trancendencee. Electric Eel follows the typical Honeymoon Disease cadence of bombastic retro rock rooted in the classic sounds of the 70s. Another grand testament to the incredibly healthy state of Swedish retro rock.

Also, they’ll be back in studio this summer to record their next album. The new album is set for an early fall release on The Sign Records.

Blackbird Hill - Midday Moonlight Single / Video

If you’re looking for some rock’n’roll, you should definitely listen to Blackbird Hill. If you’re not, you probably should anyway. Blackbird Hill is the band of two guys from Bordeaux, Alexis Dartiguelongue and Maxime Conan. They make sweet nuggets of heavy blues rock that worms in your ears and stays there. You can taste it while listening to the title track from the upcoming album Midday Moonlight. Now the band has also unveiled a music video for that song. Watch it above.

With "Midday Moonlight", French power duo BLACKBIRD HILL take you on an exhilarating ride throughout America's wide open spaces, for a six-track journey made of telluric blues riffs and organic folk tales. Black Rainbows -​ The Red Sky Above Single (2017)

Black Rainbows is a tireless and dedicated band that has been making energetic stoner rock for more than 10 years. And in case you were busy on March 24th of this year, chances are you probably missed Black Rainbows’ new single entitled The Red Sky Above. It's a must have for anyone that enjoys good fuzzy stoner rock music.

This brand new song from BLACK RAINBOWS was recorded during their last tour in January 2017, in a cool studio surrounded by snowy mountains in the north of Italy. "The Red Sky Above" is six minutes of pure, fuzzy, groovy, stoner frenzy. With this new single, the trio shows a subtle shift toward a darker and heavier sound. "The Red Sky Above" is exclusively issued as part of the "Heavy Psych Sounds Sampler Vol. 2", available at this location.

First of all, sorry I haven't written a blog post in so many days, but I have been preoccupied with work.

Dandy Brown - The Bees Single / Video

Steve Brown, better known as Dandy Brown, is a music producer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was a member of the following bands: Hermano and Orquesta del Desierto. A couple of years ago, he started a new music project under the moniker Dandy Brown and released a great album in 2015 called Damned To The Heels Of Success.>/p>

Keep an eye out for the band's untitled second album coming later this year on Taxi Driver Records. But until then, enjoy Dandy Brown's music video for the new song - The Bees. The video was directed by Tyler Geeson and released on March 1st.

Demon Head: Hic Svnt Dracones Video & Tour Dates

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Demon Head planted a flag for Danish vintage doom when they released their critically acclaimed debut, ‘Ride The Wilderness’ in 2015. Now, the band will release their second album ‘Thunder On The Fields’. It's coming out on April 7 through The Sign Records. Before then, the band has released a music video for the song 'Hic Svnt Dracones'. It's a marvellous track. At times it sounds like something between Pentagram and Danzig. Watch the video above.

HIC SVNT DRACONES is a heavy anthem with a burning drive. The song is about throwing off the shackles that wear us down, daring to go were the maps have white spots. Follow the sinister leads and groove to a place between borderland and underworld...

Demon Head got the "Fenriz band of the week" approval in january 2017 with the release of the bands first single 'Gallows Omen" from the upcoming album 'Thunder On The Fields'. Demon Head will tour UK, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and mainland europe upon the release.

Welcome to my new series - Stoner Mountain's Weekly Bandcamp Discoveries. The name is pretty self-explanatory. I'll be posting my Bandcamp discoveries every week. Here are 11 records from over the past two weeks that you should check out. From French stoner rock to Amercian black metal, here are some of the choicest records from around the world. Most of them deserve a separate review, but I just don't have the time to do that, so at least I can give'em some recognition.

Svartanatt: Killer On The Loose Tour & Single

Svartanatt is a five-piece retro-rock band and probably the brightest hope of the Swedish retro rock scene. They have just released their fantastic debut full-length album in 2016 and now they return with a brand new single, Killer On The Loose. Also, the band is ready to show Spain what they’re made of. They will play there six shows and then return to Sweden to play six more gigs. Check out the tour dates and the single below:

Killer On The Loose Single

The Crystal Moth - Brainwasher Single (2016)

Brainwasher is the debut single by Perth heavy-psych five-piece The Crystal Moth. It was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Perth and released December 2, 2016. It's an over eight-minute proggy blues-rock jam with lots of vibrant Pink Floyd'esque moves. Fabulous tune and arrangement with a great sing a long vocal and a fantastic organ-driven groove. Can't say enough positive about it.

This gorgeous song show the guys getting off to a great start, that no doubt paves the way for more smashing songs. Get the track for as much as you feel like paying (free is even an option) on Bandcamp. Put on the headphones, go to your own lil world and sit back.

Drive By Wire - Blood Red Moon Single (2017)

Don't worry (or worry, if you don't like the concept), the Greek week is not over yet, it's just a teeny tiny break for this awesome single.

I guess we all know that this Dutch heavy psych/stoner rock band can kick some ass, but damn is Drive By Wire on fire this time. Their new single has been on repeat all day, what a great preview of their upcoming album. The Dutch veterans mixes slick guitar grooves with fuzzed out psych rock textures and wonderful vocals. Yep, Simone has such a fantastic singing ability, there is no describing the depth of raw power she has. Melt into this track, let itself wrap around you and take over!

Hazy Blue Something - The Devil In Me Single (2017)

Hazy Blue Something is basically the solo project of guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Thanos Vlachos (Out Of The Earth, ex-Chronic Herbal Influence - check these bands out, they are great) from Lamia, Greece.

The single The Devil In Me was released just four days ago. It's a very easy listening blues with Thanos' full deep voice and soulful guitar playing. A catchy tune with a relaxed vibe. Songs like this should come with warning labels: 'May cause repeated listens and become lodged in your head for weeks at a time'.

Hazy Blue Something shows the best way to escape the rush of the modern world is to construct your own dreamy universe.

La Iglesia Atomica - La Mala Viene Single / Demo (2016)

Apparently the band reunited after 20 years, but I don't know much about these guys. I was lucky to find the release on Bandcamp. There are three of them, they are from San Juan, Puerto Rico and they've just released a catchy as hell single called La Mala Viene.

Sung in Spanish, it has elements of stoner rock, blues rock and psychedelic. Their single is a name your own price download on bandcamp. Check it out below and as always support the band if you like it!

BCMC - BCMC Single / EP (2016)

BCMC is a noise rock / stoner rock duo from Montevideo, Uruguay consisting of Bruno Conti on drums and Matías Cor on vocals/guitars. They just released their two-track debut record, wich can be downloaded for free from their Bandcamp.

On their first release they bring forth their South American stoner rock with a dose of punk energy, inspired by the good old Queens of the Stone Age. If you are in the mood for choppy riffs and loud pounding drums, that makes you swoon and wanna bang your head at the same time, then check these guys out. You might not understand the lyrics of BCMC, but you don't have to - the rhythm and the vocals are too catchy not to appreciate. Show them some love!

De Marvells - Dark Love Single / Video

De Marvells is a four-piece project from southern Norway inspired by Tarantino's film scores, Hawkwind, The Savage Rose, The Allman Brothers, Nick Cave and PJ Harvey. When those worlds collide and become one, magic happens. The young quartet mixes bluesy guitar shredders with a heavy amount of grit evocative of alternative rock’s golden era in the ’90s and great vocals, with amazing and highly addictive results.

Dark Love is the first single off their forthcoming debut album and it is definitely a marker of good things to come from this band.

The Legendary - Half A Devil Single / Video

It's gonna be Legen… wait for it… dary!

The Legendary from Munich is a heavy rock outfit that makes easy accessible stoner rock with the catchiness of Queens Of The Stone Age and the fun no-nonsense approach we know of Danko Jones.

The German Rock 'n' Rollers have premiered the official video for the new single Half A Devil from their upcoming album Let’s Get A Little High, which will be released in January 2017.

Black Prism - Eye For An Eye Single (2016)

Here's a cool freebie from Black Prism, a heavy stoner rock band from Los Angeles. Check out the Bandcamp link below to get your copy.

Eye For An Eye is only the band's second single and it left me quite impressed. Great guitar work that assaults your ears; pounding, thunderous bass and big drums. With vocals that are both bizarre and addictive. Early Stonebride instantly came to mind, but be sure to listen and make your own opinion.

Not too hard, not too soft, just right. I really enjoyed this. Keep watching this band, they will no doubt make a mark someday. Get on board now before your friends are barking at you about it in a few months.
