I just found this album in a pawn shop (I paid only 1 euro!!!) a few days ago, so here's my rip. I highly recommend this to fans of retro rock! Just check the song below, Ballroller is a killer song.

Back to Croatia and one of my favourite stoner rock scene. Umor are from Zagreb, Crotia. They describe themselves as loud and heavy atmospheric rock/metal band with stoner and doom influences. I love their split with Cojones (another great Croatian band) back in 2007 and I was listening to it everyday for a very long time. This EP almost as good as that Split. Highly recommended!

More grindcore next month.
Naked City was an avant-garde music group led by saxophonist and composer John Zorn. Active primarily in New York City from 1988 to 1993, Naked City was initiated by Zorn as a "composition workshop" to test the limits of composition (and improvisation) in a traditional rock band lineup. Their music incorporated recognizable elements of jazz, surf, classical, heavy metal, grindcore, country, punk rock and other genres.

The last one from PainKiller, the double album Execution Ground.
"The first disc of this inventive and unsettling two-disc set features three long improvisations that show off the band's dub influence. The second disc, subtitled "Ambient Dub," is a rethinking/remix of the third and first improvs on the first disc. Overall less thrashy than some Painkiller excursions, the improvisations here are striking for their greater sonic space without sacrificing any of the heaviness" - wiki

Ok, here's PainKiller's second EP featuring guest appearances by Godflesh's Justin Broadrick and G.C. Green on two tracks.

Limited 200 coloured vinyl. A split 7" vinyl single between US heavy rockers BLACK PYRAMID, and Swedish ODYSSEY, both bands bringing out a track of heavy and stoned rock with thick layers of distortion and sonic madness.

Wow, fantastic stuff, thick psychedelic grooves all over the place. Really relaxed jams with a subtle heavier side. Thanks to Ben for sending me his work.

The series of requests will continue until the end of the month.
Judd Madden is a graphic designer and solo instrumental musician based in Melbourne. You may know him from Stonerobixxx. Doomgroove is his latest release. It's a great mixture of heavy instrumental stoner doom and post metal. This one has to be heard! And hey, don't forget to support Judd so he can make more brilliant music!

Another day, another great request.
Shock Radar are an experimental, alternative/stoner rock band from New York, USA. The Generator EP is their newest release. The sound is classic but yet original. Actually, some of these songs sound like they could have come from Soundgarden's Superunknown or Down on the Upside recording sessions (which of course is a big compliment). Some highly recommended grooves, thanks to Lee for sharing this!

WOW! A massive, killer album. This record receives the first Stoner Mountains's Official Seal of Quality :D. This is for all you retro rockers out there.
Hailing from Piraeus, Greece. Dead Man's Band is a huge tribute to all the fabulous bands from the 60's & 70's. Blues rock with psychedelic overtones and powerful female vocals (the Greek Ann Wilson?). The album was recorded live at the Penthouse Gravevard Studios in Piraeus. Dead Man's Band contains 9 great tracks and it’s tough for me to find a favourite song on this album as they’re all so good. And finally, this is fucking underground! No internet page, no physical releases (maybe some vinyls in summer) and no record label involved. Simple, no promotion. Everything is in our hands!

Well, my dear readers, I have a lot of requests from bands and it is time to post some of these bands.
The first German band on Stoner Mountain - Born To Hula from Weimar. Probably they are quite well known on the German stoner scene, because they're touring constantly through Germany since 2006. They were named after QOTSA's song, but I think that their sound is closer to Brant Bjork and his project than Queens of the Stone Age. In short, Sunrise Radio is that laid-back, fuzzy and psychedelic desert sound we all love. It's a damn fine album. Just listen to it.

Here's a killer band from the past. One of the Polish hard rock pioneers formed in 1970 by Krzysztof Klenczon, a legend amongst Polish guitarists. Due to Klenczon's leaving to the United States the year after the band's only album had been released, Trzy Korony was disbanded. We have hear everything you need - psychedelic, pop, hard rock and heavy fuzz.
So, take a spliff, turn your speakers up to maximum volume and enjoy this beautiful music.

Ok, back again to the usual stuff. More Grind Madness next month.
The Moon Mistress is a stoner doom power trio from Moscow, Russian Federation and “Silent Voice Inside” is their debut full-length album. After Grave Disgrace it's the second Russian band on Stoner Mountain. Loud, lo-fi, slow and heavy, yeah that's what Tiggers like best. Definitely worth a listen or two! Read the review on The Sleeping Shaman.

This is a very good record to start with grind, mainly because of the vocals, you can actually understand what Mitch Dickinson's singing, which is a rare thing in grindcore. The lyrics are mostly about the social and politics problems, but a few songs are about Garfield! Yes, Garfield, the funny, cynical, lasagna loving cat.
PS. Garfield for President!

It's time for this legendary and essential political grind album - World Downfall. Terrorizer at it best. Featuring sixteen tracks in thirty-six minutes, all being fast, catchy and heavy as hell. The sound is similar to Napalm Death's A-side of Scum, but it's less punky and more closer to death than the first side of Scum.

Let's start this sunday with some nice tunes, here's an interesting band from Україна ;).
Somali Yacht Club is a psychedelic stoner rock trio from Lviv, Ukraine. The band mixes elements of stoner rock, psychedelic rock, shoegazing and post-metal in their music. In August 2011 released their first four-song EP “Sandsongs”. - last.fm

I hope you all enjoyed Stangala. Here's the second French band - UFO Gestapo from Marseille. These guys aren't freshman's, because "Grandmissair" is their third release(they have an EP and 2 LP's). Great old school 90's sludge sound and angry vocals, which are something between Kurt Cobain's Bleach-era singing and Mike Williams from EyeHateGod.
20 March, 2012
Fuck mediafire, life goes on. Let me take you on a trip to France with two awesome French bands.
The first one is Stangala an occult, retro, stoner doom band with celtic influences (bagpipes included) from Breton. The lyrics are in the breton language. The album title can be translated as "Mushrooms and other good stuff".Read the review on Doommantia

Today is one of the saddest days in the history of Stoner Mountain, becasue today mediafire locked my account! Almost all music is gone! Sorry. There are some alternative links to depositfiles for several recent posts. Some old posts have links to divshare, but the rest is gone. It will takes some time before I fix this mess.
11 March, 2012
Ok, next request. Blood Red Water is a sludgy stoner doom band from Venezia, Italy.
"Blood Red Water formed in the summer of 2010 with Michele (vocals, ex grindcore bands: NAB and Grunter Screams) Fiorica (ex and bass player in Blank Symbol, now at the drum). Michele & Fiorica were longtime friends, drinking partners and united by the passion for sludge music so they decided to create something wicked. Immediately Francesco (of mr. Boonekamp) joined them as guitarist and feedback noise junkie.
At first helped by Silvia (of S.M.A.D.) as bass player, then Tarantula (Lorenzo Petri from Gli sportivi , Valium doll) joined ‘em.

It's time for a few requests. The first one is Güacho, a psychodelic rock band from La Plata, Argentina. Vol. I is their debut album. You can download it for free on bandcamp or just use one of my links. And last but not least. Güacho are coming to Europe for a small tour (Spain, France and Belgium) in March and April. Read below for more information about the gigs.

More grind madness next month. Back to the usual stuff.
Grave Disgrace is stoner doom metal with some 70's heavy rock influence, from Saint Petersburg, Russia (probably the first Russian band on Stoner Mountain). The albums five tracks are impenetrable walls of heavy, hypnotic and groovy Sabbath-esque sound.

Well, what can I say about the almighty Repulsion? Fucking legends and pioneers of grindcore, goregrind and death metal. Horrified was recorded in 1986 at a basement studio in Flint, Michigan, but released in 1989 on Necrosis Records (label was run by Bill Steer and Jeff Walker).

7" EP released by Lee Dorrian's Rise Above Records. At that time S.O.B. met Napalm Death (F.E.T.O. lineup) and they became good friends. This EP features Lee Dorrian (backing vocals on few songs) and Shane Embury (bass on Deceiver). Probably the Repulsion intro in Deceiver was used here for the first time.

I planned to do this for almost two years. Finally, the old school grindcore madness can begin. You can expect circa 5-6 records at the beginning of each month. No ridiculous, nowadays bullshit! Only good, old political and gore grind from the late 80's and early 90's. This month - a lot of S.O.B., some Napalm Death and Repulsion as a bonus.

The fourth chapter of the trip, a journey through the cosmos, the heavy psych compilation made in Italy!
Aptly distributed by Perkele.it magazine, DESERT SOUND Vol. IV – IN THE MOUTH OF FUZZ packs 25 combustive cuts from the smoke filled scene defined by hot rock'n'roll, chuggin' guitars, dirty fuzz, psychedelic visions, feedback and cowbell fills. A volcanic trip deep into the Italian heavy stoner psycho doom panorama, with tracks that range straight out of power hittin' stonerville, to the psychedelic side, as well as the doom mantras and spacey pipe dreams action.

Another band from Argentina on Stoner Mountain. Regardless of what the band says, this is psychedelic stoner rock ;).
Since 2008, we're a heavy rock trio from Argentina. it's not stoner, doom or psychadelic, just rock. We like Sabbath, Zeppelin, Beatles and we're all about classic rock. Our first (unreleased) record "Cazador" is a dense, heavy, thick 6-song album with an equal amount of good riffing and dark melodies. - signmeto.roadrunnerrecords.com
